Some only fit a licence plate. Some can fit a spare tyre.
We’re at the Casey Electric Vehicle Expo. Casey is a council region, near us.
The Future Drive Australia EV show was supposed to be running this weekend in Melbourne, but they cancelled it just a few days ago, presumably leaving ticket holders and exhibitors out of pocket with no event. They run a range of car shows, not just EVs. I think they’ve gone bust.
I thought the Casey show would not be able to compete. But now, they’re the only show in town. Put on by AEVA Australian Electric Vehicle Association.
Lots of EVs. Lots of attendees. Lots of questions. I overheard “I’d like to get an EV but I like to go for a drive [a long way]”. I had to bite my tongue “It’s not an issue. We do it all the time”.
And some helpful stands, such as ZECO Energy, to help households to get off gas.
