Can’t be fusspots when there’s only one option

“I’m hungry,” says Fran. “Let’s stop for lunch soon.” “Sure, we’ll stop at the next town.” I promised.
Turns out, the next town was a long way ahead, up and over the Great Dividing Range. Fusspots Cafe at Ebor was the only spot for lunch, so we couldn’t really be fusspots. It was perfect. The staff kindly made us a couple of salad and cheese rolls, which we took to the picnic area at the nearby Ebor Falls, just off Waterfall Way. Topped off with some ginger beer from our car fridge.
The driver next to us lifted out a couple of her new kids. And by kids, I mean literal kids – young goats. You just never know who you’ll meet on the road.

FSD
FSD (Full Self-Driving) did a pretty good job, when I let it, on the winding mountain roads. At roadworks, it impressively followed the pilot vehicle on the right-hand side of the road, stopping at temporary traffic lights and steering around road equipment.
Charging
No EV chargers along this road, but plenty of power points wherever there were houses. We left Maclean this morning with 95% charge and reached Ebor with 40%, after the climb. That was plenty for the next leg to Guyra.
But, we don’t really need to monitor any of that. When we left Maclean, I told the navigation that we wanted to go to Guyra, then Armidale. It predicted about 15% battery remaining at our final destination, and that’s all I needed to know.
