Everybody loves Raymond Island

With the promise of seeing koalas, we headed over to Raymond Island, in the Gippsland Lakes.
We opted to leave our Tesla on the mainland, in Paynesville, and caught the ferry across as pedestrians. The ferry runs every twenty minutes, free for pedestrians, $15 for cars. On the other side, we hired a four person bike for $50, for one hour. It turned out that we created more emissions pedalling the bike around than we would have if we’d taken the car. I blame strained digestive systems fuelled by the coffee and cake from the cafe van.
The koalas were sleepy and elusive, but we managed to find a few.
